MEMORIES & VISIONS: ANNIVERSARIES AND CELEBRATIONS

It has been an honour to have been involved in the creation of a number of game-changing tourism initiatives over the past 50 years. In the past few weeks there have been wonderful gatherings of the key people who have taken these platforms to grow, develop and succeeed in ways we could not have imagined.

In October it was the 35th anniversary of establishing the Centre for European Culture in Barcelona.

November saw the celebration of 30 years of the Slovenian Tourist Organisation www.slovenia.info

This was followed by the 10th anniversary of the founding of In2Destination based in Bilbao

Then just last week alumni, current students, staff and industry representatives from around the world gathered in Swansea to celebrate 40 years of establishing the Centre for Tourism and Recreation Management in, what is now, University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
