The lucky ones…. when there was a full grant to go to University. When working class young people we given the freedom to study, to explore, to discover. An investment by the State with a remarkable ROI. Here is a small group of geography graduates from Swansea University who, after three years of experiences - field trips to the Sudan, to Greece, to the Isle of Man and to Weymouth were inspired to make a difference. This class of 1970-1973 includes teachers, charity workers, probation officers, sports stars (well nearly) and creatives. Our collective thanks goes to our mentors in those heady days at Swansea - Professors David Herbert, Graham Humphreys, Jack Davies, Colin Thomas and others - diolch yn fawr iawn.
